Shashi joined Alchemy as the Chief Operating Officer in late 2016.

 

From 2015 onwards, he consulted as a Commercial Strategist for Completion Science, LLC a startup company in the oilfield chemicals segment, and for Prostar Capital on the acquisition of shale oil assets to improve recovery via refracturing and other forms of stimulation.

 

Previously, Shashi served as Drilling Services Manager for Genel Energy in Kurdistan from 2013.

 

Prior to this, he was the President for Quanta Services in India from 2009 onwards where he successfully created the company’s solar power business using a Build-Own-Operate model.  He also served as the Director of Strategy & Risk Management from 2005 to 2007.

 

In 2007, Shashi joined as VP of Finance & Risk Management for Extenergy LLC, a startup E&P company that acquired and monetized bypassed reserves.

 

He transferred to WellDynamics (a newly formed Shell-Halliburton JV) in 2000 as Strategy & Marketing Manager before being promoted as Regional Manager for the Americas.

 

Mr. Rajagopalan began his career in the oilfield in 1991 as an engineer with Otis (acquired by Halliburton) and worked in a variety of operational, engineering, marketing and strategy roles in the Far East and the United States.

 

He holds a B.Eng. in mechanical engineering from the University of London and a Master in Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
