Jose Roberto is a visiting researcher at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

 

He retired from Petrobras in 2016 as the General Manager for Reservoir and Well Construction Technologies at the company’s R&D Center in Rio de Janeiro.

 

During his tenure at Petrobras he served in positions of increasing operational and managerial responsibility for Flow Assurance, Artificial Lift, Technology strategy, Intellectual Property and Industry partnerships.

 

Dr. Fagundes Netto began his career at Petrobras in 1983 as a field petroleum engineer.

He holds a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from the Instituto Militar de Engenharia – IME, a M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from UNICAMP, a Ph.D. in fluid mechanics from Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse, and a Master in Business Administration from FGV University.
