Jacob has been the CEO of Alchemy since it was founded in 2016.

 

Prior to this he was Vice President of Technology at TessaFrac (a Melior Innovations company).

 

Previously, Jacob served in various technology and operational leadership positions at Halliburton from 1996 to 2015.  These included Senior Director of Technology for the Production Enhancement product line and the Brazil Technology Center. Earlier in his Halliburton career he was the Manager of Reservoir Description for the Western Hemisphere.

 

He began his oilfield career as an Operations/Analytical engineer & Reservoir engineer for Atlantic Richfield (ARCO) Oil & Gas company in 1991.

 

Dr. Thomas is the Chairman of the Industry Advisory Committee of the Petroleum Engineering Department at Louisiana State University and serves on the Petroleum Engineering Advisory Board at the University of Houston.

 

He holds a B.Tech. in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, a M.S. in chemical engineering and a Ph.D. in petroleum engineering from Louisiana State University.
